Under my umbrella Ella Ella..
Anyways..this post is not to highlight an episode of 'Gossip Girls'. It is about how on a particular morning, she headed out for her usual stroll despite the gloomy clouds threatening to pour at any minute. She thought she could break her own record of snail walking with the aide of her tongkat. Much to her chagrin, droplets of rain did begin to fall and she probably had to walk pass another 50 houses before she reached ours. With her 'speed', it would take, maybe 10 minutes, and she would surely be drenched by then. I wonder if she muttered any profanities under her breath at this point of time.
And then...poot poot. A lady honked and told her to hop into her car. My ma declined.(still wanna be heroic). "You will fall sick!" the lady insisted. But my ma still didn't hop in. Maybe she secretly wanted to play in the rain.
The lady gave up in persuading. And just then, another man came out from his house with an umbrella. "Take this! We are not as strong as the young ones! If we fall sick, jiau cham laa." This time my mom accepted the help offered. And she came back feeling very paiseh.
I thought they were very nice encounters. These are affluent folks. It's good to know they have a heart.
And then it was my turn...
Yesterday, I went to the pasar malam. Dropped my mom off while I looked for a place to park. She took the umbrella with her. And I decided to get off the car to help her carry the heavy fruits once I found a place to park. I alighted and felt rains on my head and shoulder. But only for a while because a moment later, I realized I was under the umbrella of an unknown lady. I was a little embarrassed and gave her a smile while inching away. She said, "it's ok. Come share the umbrella. I'm heading the same way."
Despite being a rainy night, I felt warmth. In my heart. In my soul.
Let's sing Rihanna's 'Under my Umbrella' , shall we?

My Siamese Twin 2 and an award
1. He makes good conversations. Like this:
"Do you know you are the most prettiest mom that I ever know in my WHOLE life?"
Trying to impart modesty, I said, "No way! You are just saying that to make me
But he insisted. "It's true! You better trust me!"
I have no choice but to trust him. Tell me that isn't the best instant-mood-lifter conversation (and you will know how it is to have an "only-gum" smile).
2. He asks good questions. Like this:
"What do astronauts do in space?"
Yeah, seriously? Come to think about it they just float around and shoot pee the wrong way all year long! (Don't be offended, if you happen to be an astronaut, which I seriously doubt.)
"What can I be when I grow up - the important things to be? Architects.. Engineers.. Policemen... GOD..."
Whaa..waatt? Did he say GOD? Oh God!
3. He makes keen observations.
"The roofs on the houses are all different. Some are triangle.. semi circle...pointy...bla bla bla.."
All I have to do during his observation period is to give some acknowledgements i.e nodding my head, giving an audible sound such as uhaa...ahaa...mm..., smile sweetly and I get to indulge in chill-pill mode with the thought of - "I will be welcoming another 'baby' into my closet this Monday."
Ah .. such bliss it is to have a Siamese twin born 30 years apart.
Next!

Ha... presenting Kawaii award from Beskotkeras. Tima kashih... She wants to know why I am so cute.
Bluff la.. The question is what are my efforts to make the blog cheerful. Hmm.. buy more bags??
5 words that describe me : Right now, it's peckish, cold, shitty, nonsensical and cock-eyed. (Phew, luckily no explanation required!)
Ok, now I can distribute the award (I love distribution works) - to everyone but you (don't be silly, of course it's not you.. I mean the other you... you know? (-;)
Thank you! *takes a bow revealing cleavage*

Award nite
Moments later, they announced my name.. Twice! The previous achievers and reigning queens , Reanaclaire and Raynebows handed me the award..

Swell.. I unfolded my 'thank you' list, taken out from my bosom and proceeded to kamsia Him, her, him and of course you. *dab dab tears*
I then told a long winded story about how I stopped working, and started enjoying a tai tai life. I now don't sweat about traffic jams and crazy bosses. Thanks to Gooly, my life began at 30. Most people have to wait till they are at least 55. *sniffles*
Initially I wanted to include a short video presentation on the topic of 'growing up' in which an interview was carried out with Gooly. But it kinda got censored cos he mentioned something about penis and hair. I can show it upon request though. :)
What an honour to receive this award from THE GREAT MOMS. As I got off the stage, the organiser mentioned that I should pass the award on too. And the nominees winners are, in random order:
sawisekilo, whose patience and arm-strenght (for carrying her baby for many hours) amaze me.
iloveedamame, who is not yet a mom, but cares for other children like her own.
sinkar & winn, who are great dog/cat parents (liucas is one lucky SOB k-9 and teru is err.. one jumpy meow.)
Eagle Wings, who homeschools and remains sane :P
beskotkeras, who feels guilty just because she thought of herself a bit
Gargies, whose bosoms are bigger than mine (hahahhaha!)..Ok, seriously..because she knows her flaws as a mom and admits them.
CY, who is a male.. so please pass to your wife who cooks and brings lunch to school!
Claire, who is solo, but never alone in parenting (for HE is with you, dear.)
Raynebows, who raises her son like a pal.
Madegg, who mothers and pampers Gooly when I can't (due to time constraint) and won't (due to hormonal issues).
Gooly's kaima who runs faster than Forrest Gump :)
MY AHBU, for all the sacrifices.. all the love.. all the pain..
I LOVE YOU ALL! *pbbbbthhhh.. blow nose*
Can I sing one song?
Ji sang ji you MAMA hau...
