Well...sort of.
Nah..it shouldnt be called talking. Its just lots of grunting noises and body gestures. She is trying to communicate, no doubt.
Here is one episode of Charade which took us awhile to figure what she was saying. Thank goodness Gooly was good (damn good,i should say) at guessing actions.
So i was holding the ipad. And she came over, wanting to watch something. I was doing something (looking at LIn Dan's booBs) and wasnt really ready to switch user. But she was adamant, making ah ah ah ah sounds, grabbing my sleeve. I looked at her and asked stupidly what she wanted.
She "miked" her hand (holding her fist as though holding a mike) and placed it near her nose, and gave a blow. Pppppbbbbthh.
Oh that was something new. Usually she just goes ah ah ah ah until you guessed corrctly what she wanted (about a hundred tries, if you sre lucky). So i paid her more attention.
"Bubbles? You want bubbles?"
She shook her head.
And then she stomp her foot.
And blew her fist again.
And said, "ting kiu." She always thank us in advance when she needs a favour.
We laughed cos she was so cute. But didnt know what she meant. And suddenly Gooly said, "Do you want the Elephant Steps song?"
She nodded her head. Real hard!
So, the blowing fist was her mimicking an elephant trumpeting with its trunk!
Horray for korkor for understanding her so well! She was so pleased that she kissed the ipad the moment the song started.
Aiya..cute dou sei...

The elephants shirts
Last christmas,
i gave you my heart,
But the very next day..
You gave it away.
Ah....George Michael. I do sound like him, dont i?
Where was i?
Ah yes, last christmas...
Someone bought us, all four of us, a set of family t-shirts bearing the animal icon of the kingdom of Thailand - elephants!
Papah wouldnt wear his, so it became mine. I'd wear them at home as they are comfy. Now here's the thing- Gooly absolutely loves his. Not because it's comfy or that he fancies the animal with a dick on his face. It's because he likes wearing matching shirts with either lolly or me. I have lost lolly's (washed down the drain, i suppose or chewed by the mad dog of ours). So now, its just mine and his.
And everyday......he would dick, ....dig his out from the laundry basket and wear it with me. And every time i wear mine, he would change whatever he is wearing into the matching piece.
It's cheesy..in an endearing way.
I like how he smiles reallllly big when he gets to wear OUR shirts together. Proud gituu... Im gonna find more matching ones. :) Hello Kitty, maybe?

Gooly's essay writing
I confess! Stop asking already.m (as if you did :p)
I do set writing assignments for gooly, particularly after a visit to a special place. Writing is much easier with experiences. So I reckon if he had traveled a bit, see the world (ahem!) with his own eyes, why not write down his experience? The instruction has always been, "write what you see, hear, smell and feel."
And so we have stories about the Aquaria, farm, etc. This morning, I read with interest what a friend's daughter who is of same age as gooly (7.5 yrs old) has written for a school test. He was causing so much ruckus with his little sister that I sent him to the corner to write his own story of going to zoo. This is what he wrote:
One happy day, I wanted to go to the zoo. My family went there by bus. When we reached the zoo, I saw an animal picture at the entrence. Then I got very excited.
First I saw a flock of parrots eating lunch. They were so beautiful my mother can't resist taking a picture. The parrots wings and bodies is covered by rainbow color (ed feathers).
Next I saw two elephants eating bananas. By their look on their faces, it looks like the bananas are very yummy, the two elephants had long tusks and big bodies.
At last I saw ten crocs eating their carcass. They looked very fears so I quickly snap a picture and ran away.
It was so fun that I wanted to come back again. The end.
I like his choice of words. Gotta work on his grammar and spelling, though I must say the latter has improved quite a bit.
Now comes the big problem. His handwriting is atrocious! No amount of cajoling, scolding, and other -ling (hamkaling?) had helped. I don't know if he is doomed to have ugly handwriting or he is just not bothered. He likes to write his stories fast, bish bosh bam, thank you ma'am, I'm off to watch tv. It makes me boil!
And I'm pretty sure he can write more...I mean, he talks a lot..it's just putting his words unto paper, right?
Ish!

Goolly telling me a joke
The other day, a friend was telling how someone is getting a divorce but still had to fake smiles for her daughters to hide her pain. I do not know if I am capable of that, smiling when I really want to cry. I think I am more "show and tell" type. I was not entirely sure so I asked Gooly if I had ever told him that I am sad. He said, no I haven't but he can always tell from my face. Wise words of a 7 year old. So that confirms that i do not have a poker face.
So what do people do when they are not in a chirpy mood, I asked, just for the heck of it.
"Sometimes they just want to be alone," he suggested.
I nodded in agreement.
"Sometimes I can tell you jokes to cheer you up..." he offered.
I grinned and teased, "But your jokes are not always funny."
"Oh ya? Hear this." He whipped up a joke from nowhere - "A hamburger walked into a bar.."
A WHAT???
Walked into a WHAT??? Did he say BAR??? My 7 year old is telling bar jokes?? Already??(strange, he hasnt met sinkar for a while already. Where did he learn that joke from)
I was lost in my thoughts for that few seconds and suddenly was jolted by his epiloque of "why arent you laughing? Where is your sense of humour?"
Ok, and then I laughed.
And i said I didnt get his joke. Something about a hamburger in a BAR...Gosh! Was it even a dirty joke? He refused to re-tell it. Tsk!
But yeah..I suppose he will make me laugh when I am sad. He probably did in the past. But now i can be sure.
Say...Hmm..maybe it was "a hamburger walked in with a bra.."

Makan date
My best makan pal is gooly. Ok ok, you too...but today i wanna talk about my special dates with my son.
With the ongoing ruckus from the lil lolly, its hard to have chats with gooly. So i arrange dinner or lunch dates with him sans lolly. So i can listen to his tales. I love his tales.
He told me about a girl with 24 colour pencils, who kept repeating that she has 24 colour pencils,
"i have 24, you only got 12," she went on and on.
(how about getting another 24 and you get 48 and we can call you 48 poh!)
And gooly was not a bit fazed with the 24 colour pencils. He brings 12 in a tattered box even though he has hundreds at home. Watching the so called famous you tube clip of My Generasi, I know, colour pencils are a biggie at school. I am glad that gooly couldnt care less about that. Luckily he didnt start to add more colours or insist on a new box.
"I just kept quiet. And she went on and on about her 24 colours from first period, second period...until after recess, still saying the same thing...tsk tsk tsk..." he shook his head.
Maybe he should sing, "You dont impress me much~~~"
And he showed me a jelly, which he initially received three from his bahasa teacher for scoring his ejaan tests. He ate one for recess, gave one to his pal, and kept the last one for his cuz. He could have eaten all three, but he didnt. (He could have given me one, but he didnt. But i am not gonna gripe on that!)
And then he said his friend said there is a new hit song. And he sang, "L.U.V Mcdonald!" teeheeeee! Madonna will be mad yo!
And today, i talked and he listened. I told him that i have the best mom in the world.
"Mom, i think you learned from your mom. Thats why you are the best too. You learned from your mom. And i learn from you. And meimei learn from me."
Ahh...he got the equation right.
I love talking to him cos he makes a lot of sense than a lot of other people.

Gooly is pretty fly for a white guy (but he is not white)
I admit i am intriqued by gooly's vast vocabulary and knowlegde. I do believe reading contributes in making him speak and think the way he does. And Tv IQ, Nat Geo Wild. Not forgetting thru his own accute observation.
The other day we were complimenting nainai's delicious meatballs. Ohhlala..my ma cooks the best meatballs. Ikea's are meh after you have tried hers. But then again, its like comparing a spoon with a lighbulb cos hers isnt made of beef. But still, yums! So, i said, "Lets call it ahma's greatest meatballs." But gooly didnt agree. He thinks "ahma's signature dish." is cooler. Signature dish - hah! He must have learned that from menus.
And another time, i had a deja vue moment. Soi asked, if he has said what he said before, or have I just dreamed it. He reckoned it was the latter. And proceeded to tell me that there is a machine called ..wait, i cannot remember. Let me ask him again.
...ah...an electrograph. An electrograph to detect brain activities while you are sleeping.
So smart. *peacock proud*
and then sometimes he prattles on about dinosaurs facts which sends me straight off to the wonderland of bags. Pardon my blaise attitude to these *yawn*extinct reptiles but bags are made skins too!*sudden excitement*
Even my friends are impressed with his choice of words. He once said, "dodge" and my friend considered that as a tough word for a 7 year old in a general chinese school environment. And she further clarified her claims with, "Well, at least my niece doesnt use that word."
Hmmm..what is the other word for "dodge" then? *make dodging movements repeatedly in front of mirror to get ideas.
Nope. Cant think of another word to replace "dodge."
Maybe i should ask Gooly.
Wait.
While waiting, i should also tell you that he reads TinTin. I think the plots are very deep and twisty. I dont know if he gets them. *shrug. As long as he reads, i dont think it matters. Not like anyone is gonna test him. Are you?
Ok. Todoloo, miss lulu. I'm off to ask the walking thesaurus the substitutional word for ..what again? Ah yes, podge...

She understands
I remember...
..the first "conversation" I had with with Gooly. He must have just turned one. It took place in the kitchen in the new mooban we just moved in. He didnt say much, but demonstrated that he could understand what I was saying. No, no.lit wasn't those "Where is your tongue?" kind of game cos I think those are more rote memorization rather than proper understanding.
So that day, i asked if he was still coughing, and he shook his head. And I said, then we can have ice cream. He said, "Yeaaah!" while lifting his arms up in the air jubilantly.
And we have been communicating since then.
Today I had the first "communication" with Lolly. No, no...not the "where is your head" routine which I am sure she is getting tired of showing us.
My phone beeped, signalling an incoming sms. "Oh, mummy's phone!" I announced to her for no apparent reason. She looked at me, and crawled towards the beeping sound. Stopped midway, turned around to look at me. And I said, "Where's mummy's phone?"
And she gingerly placed her palm on her ear.
She knows what a phone is.
But of course she didnt know where it was.
I smiled, and like the fact that she takes interest in whatever nonsense I am telling her.

Ah..
Ah..the third tonal sound. Not like when the dentist or doctor asks you to open your mouth wide and say, "Ah....". Also not like when you are shot and you yelp a loud dramatic "Ah......" Neither it is AH long that AH.
It is the obedient AH, the chinese version of OK.
Gooly, go get ready for school now.
Ah..
Gooly, go call yehyeh down for dinner.
Ah..
Gooly, turn off the tv now.
Ah..
Getddit? That "ah"?
I do love the way he complies by saying "ah". Its very chinese, very gentle and very affirmative. Its extra special when the dialogue is exchanged in mandarin between nainai and him.
"Gooly, ni si jau sien, hau bu hau?"
"Ah..hau.."
I admit i am quite anal about getting a (quick) response from him when i talk to him. I cannot stand children in front of the idiot box, staring into galaxy far far away, with flies hovering their open mouths, and when you tell them something 10 times, they only respond 1 time (10 mun 9 mm ying).
When i say do something, chop chop, do it quick. Or at least pretend that you heard me.
Therefore, it makes me smile, this little style of his - which i call "The Ah". Sometimes he says, "Ah..just give me a minute" which is fine. At least i know he is alive.

Getting out of trouble
Gooly has a knack of talking out of trouble, I noticed.
The other day, i asked how was his ejaan. In one breath he said, "oh mom, dont worry! I got one wrong..and it was a careless mistake. Tsk tsk tsk! I should have been more careful! Next time i will be more careful! I did my correction already. Now i know how to spell it. Dont worry, mom! All problem solved!"
My mouth slightly agape, i searched my mind on what else to err...add on. It seems like he has pretty much covered everything. So i said, "okeh!"
*facepalm*
what if he says the same things next time when he gets ALL wrong??!
"dont worry mom! I got everything covered! Now i know why i got them wrong! I wont get them wrong again for the finals!"
Deng!

Casually caring
"Did you have a good nap, mom?"
"Did you have a good day?"
"How was meimei today? Was she a good girl?"
"Mom, why are you always the last to eat? Its not fair.."
In this world, I think the person who cares for me most, and takes notice of me, would be my son. He casually asks about my welfare all the time.
Still waiting for, "Do you have enough money to spend, Ma?" though...

Lucky day
"They say it's my lucky day today..but its not true," gooly lamented in the car when i picked him up from school. He meant the horoscope.
But how would he even be so sure, i challenged, as the day hasnt ended just yet.
i then made a swift swerve right in front of the ice cream motorcycle and announced, "Ice cream?" He beamed so much, shrieking Thank You Mama, it IS my lucky day today!
I love making my boy lucky. Bah to those lousy horoscope! :p

Easy to please
My mom pushed the cot to the wall, and placed a chair next to it, so we could sit and pat Lolly to sleep.
Gooly came back and wondered aloud in mandarin if ahma had moved the furniture in the room, which she admitted she did. And he responded with a very dramatic, "wow! Hau mei ooooh~ xie xie, nainai" (wow, so beautiful. Thanks, nainai)
Both mom and I chuckled.
This boy is so innocent and appreciative.
A simple egg-meal can be "Wow!The most delicious meal in the world. Amah is the best cook! I wonder what is her secret ingredient!" So full of praises this boy has.
Oh.. I do love him. For the simple pleasures and happiness he seeks everyday.

we live for happy moments like this
us with a very special awesome cake
Despite a conscious effort not to over-celebrate, blessed family and friends thought otherwise. Cant get over the beauty of the cake (and friendships!)
What a way to start the year. ZOIZ, i know you gonna be good to us!
To you too, k..
se73n
Two months before, he got an ipad 2 as a birthday present from his aunt. Can he be any luckier? You bet! He then went to Bangkok for 3 weeks. He knew on the actual day, he shoudlnt expect anything else.
Hence, when my sis asked, "What would you like for your birthday?", he gracefully announced that he doesnt need anything, because he has everything. And yet, cakes and pressies kept pouring in.

Isnt that a beauty? Awesome-ness! That boy of mine is really blessed. The cake is bought by my dear friends, with a special request ( to the baker) of a Naruto head to be placed on top because they make efforts to get to know my son. Naruto, as you mau have guessed is his current fav tv show.
We bought him a cake too, but stinged on the design. It was just a plain ole trusty black forest. :)
And this morning, his godma came with pressies...
And tonight, another godma is organising a surprise party for him.
Celebrations after celebrations....my son, arent you special? You must be....
Happy 7, my dearest first born!

Christmas 2011
Previously when my brother was still around, we'd celebrate Christmas at his place - a round of makan to be followed by the gift exchange routine for the kids. Nothing fancy, they always got those cheap toys which they got bored after 5 minutes or so. And very often, we'd bring out a cake for gooly as his birthday is just days after Christmas.
So, if you asked me, Christmas has been quite routine for quite a number of years.
This year, we celebrated Christmas in Bangkok. On the very first day we arrived, decorations at the malls has already put us in the festive mood. We took loads of pictures like what tourists normally do.
The first gifts that we received were by papah's accountant. She gave me a shopping bag (knowing how much I love bags! Papah must have been telling them stories! *frown*), a pretty dress for lolly, and a bouncy lion for gooly. Now, i must say that i am always anxious when someone gives gooly pressies by surprise. You know, what if he gives a bah! when he doesn't like it? And when i saw the stuff toy, i was thinking that he has outgrown cuddly cutey toys, and got really apprehensive about his reaction. But thank goodness, he gave a big genuine smile and started laughing while bouncing the lion away. He said thank you and gave the lady a hug. She is obviously smitten by his actions.
I know the lion wasnt really his "thing" (he wants soldiers and army stuff now) but he was really being nice and polite and most importantly, thankful for the present he received.
And then he told us that he really wanted a set of those tiny soldiers with tanks and missiles and other cool stuff. He has been eyeing it at the 7-11 nearby our place. We bluffed and said we are not getting him any. He didnt whine or complained much. And then we got it for him, secretly. For 129 baht. Lol. He woke up feeling on top of the world when he saw it the next day. And started to believe in santa, cos we just wanted to magicked the whole thing. And for him to truly believe that he has been a wonderful child. We tell him that all the time. I guess when santa says it, its even more special. :)
And then today was papah's company dinner - a food and karaoke affair. Quite an experience for us to be surrounded by happy jolly locals belting out isaan songs. Lots of clapping and dancing. Wanted to shuffle but didnt think it was appropriate. Again, we received presents. This time, we got a set of tshirts for the four of us, with the kingdom's animal icon - the elephant sewn on them. I was really touched, and to show my appreciation, quickly changed lolly into it, and asked gooly to do the same. I am so glad he obliged. He was strutting proudly in it- so happy to be wearing an identical shirt as his baby.
We also had the gift exchanging program which was a bit complicating, imho. There were electrical aplliances, ang pows, hampers and a huge panda (as tall as gooly). Before that, Gooly was really serious about choosing the right gift for the program. He really wanted it to be special, hoping that the someone who gets his gift will be extremely happy. I thought that was awfully sweet because its so darn hard to buy a present when you dont know who is it for.. So i was really getting bored and just wanted to get it over and done with. Like, here, buy this tissue box and go! But nooooo.... He gave his heart and soul into it. And chose a watch instead for that lucky person. :)
And he got a set of comforter in return. In pink! Dissappointed of course. But graciously decided to give it to his beloved sister or someone more needy.
And so it has been a simple affair - one that tells the meaning of christmas in its own way.
One that shows how easy it is to make my son happy.(note: his birthday is just days away. I havent planned anything, bought anything..in fact thought of anything related to it. And he hasnt either because, he will be happy no matter what we do on that day. I know he will be thankful with whatever gifts, parties, cakes. Or without, i hope)
One that highlights his big, gracious and thankful heart.
One that i wish to remember.
How was your christmas?
She is obviously smitten by his actions.

the most considerate person i know
...would be my own son.
When someone is asleep or nursing an illness, he is always very considerate to shut the door quietly, whisper softly, turn down the volume of the tv, and sometimes even tip toe around the room. Just today, papah had a bad tummy ache (bummer! On a sunday! Ish!). He said we could have lunch nearby and just hang out at home "since papah is sick." eventhough we are on a holiday. Boy! I was more sour about being stuck at home!
When he needs something you are using, he will bring another item in exchange for the one he is eyeing on. Say for example, when i am in bed comfortably on a pillow, he would fetch me another before he grabs away the one he wants. And he is courteous to ask first, "Mom, do you mind changing this pillow with me?" eventhough i took HIS pillow at the first place.
When both of us need to take a dump, he would ask if I REALLY need to go. If he coukd hold his pee/poo, he'd let me go first. Thats very gentlemanly of him. He also lets me in into the house whenever i am carrying stuff or baby. "After you, " he says.
He helps me automatically to either push or keep the stroller. He opens the car door for me. I just told papah the other day that he should learn from his son on being a better man.
There are more examples of how chilvarous he is but I guess it matters not that I list them down.
Gooly, my perfect gentleman - thats what you are.

Saying the right stuff
The other day, gooly in the heat of anger, got into a dispute with his cuz. And it involved a flying chicken leg kick.
I reprimanded him, told him that he should never never strike another. I was ready to hurl a barrage of words. And i began with, "You are bigger size than him..imagine..would you like it if someone does that to mei mei? (his precious)"
And he solemnly said, "I should have used my brain to think first!"
Me: Yaaaaa...(oei? This is not what i expected. If he had gotten all defensive, I would have dished out my "long winded speech" about why, how he shouldn't get in a fight.
And then he continued: "I was a bad example...."
Me: Yaaaa.... (oei? So matured one??)
And finally, "I'm sorry, mom. I wont do it again.."
Me: Ok..
And that was the end of my uhm...lecture. I wont even classify it as a lecture. It was a lot of monosylabic words like, "yaaaa" and "ok". But seriously, what else could i have said? He has summed up everything pretty well.
However, at the point of my last "ok", i wondered if he had learned the skill of winning an 'argument' with mom, which is - do not argue. If he had been brash or argumentative about it, he would have to face the guillotine. And now he walks away free..with just a promise of never do it again.
Pretty smooth, I must say.
Will see if he's really remorseful.
Or he is just a sweet talker, saying the right thing at the right time to save his ass.
Ahh.. I can see my genes in him now.

The waffle story part 2
Ok..so the next day while sharing a glass of Chatime bubble tea, in the car..the conversation somehow was directed back to the "waffle story".
Gooly, I think, felt a bit suckered for giving away the waffle which he hasn't even had a bite yet.
"I was too generous-lah," he said sounding melancholic, and with a tinge of regret. "I think I give too much,"
And so I said.........(long winded words of wisdom - or not, ahead)
Don't worry about giving too much.
In life, we give and we take.
We must feel happy when we give.
God is happy when we give.
When we give, we receive. Sometimes we don't, but that's ok too cos we don't give expecting to be rewarded.
He nodded and nodded and nodded. (signs of tuning out?)
Then he asked, "You know how does God reward you when you are good?"
Hmmm..maybe with a slice of meatloaf? - I joked.
And he said, "Silly mom. Its love. And that's the best reward."
That's my boy. Full of wisdom over a waffle story.
I have heard moms teaching kids to be selfish (with added words like "a little bit selfish sometimes" - to perhaps soften the ideology of kiasuism). And I here I am telling my son not to worry about giving too much. Will he be a push over? Will he be taken granted of? Will he be hurt?
Well, I can only say.."Kindness in giving creates love - Lao Tzu."

the waffle story part UNO
Last week, gooly lamented that he was getting bored of eating vanilla bun for recess. Cant blame him, it has been what..10 months? He's beginning to look like a nun.. I mean bun. Time to change the menu!
So I bought him a gardenia waffle instead.
On the very day, as soon as he came home, I asked how was the waffle (note that it was as though I prepared him a Grade A bento set? Actually it was kinda bento-ish cos I put the waffle into a square container shaped like a slice of bread *proud*)
And he proceeded tell me the story about the waffle.
"Lam Mee Yoke took it. She just grabbed it. Actually she asked first. Then it dropped on the floor. It was Kwok Fu Shing's fault."
Wooooah..hold it hold it. That's a whole lot of info there. Who is Lam Mee Yoke? Why did she take your waffle? Is she your friend? And right at the corner of my heart - Are you being bullied? Bee boo bee boo~~ red alert red alert!!
Of course I didn't say what I was thinking. I wanted to know how he felt before planting any unfounded fear into his head.
As it turns out, Lam Mee Yoke is a good friend, and she didn't have any food with her, and she would really really like to eat a waffle that day. And so Gooly gave his to her.
Now if you knew Gooly well, you will know that he loves his food.Eating is a biggie to him. He lives to eat( like his mom). So again, I wondered if he was 'pressured' into giving his waffle.
Thus I tried digging for more details without using words like "bullied, forced, etc."
And I found out that he wanted to be generous, but not really but in the end, decided to be. A typical 6 year old's frame of indecisive mind. Haha! So everything is fine..it was just a simple case "should I give, should I not - I think I should." No bullies, momma! Geesh! The imagination of a lactating mom!
And then we came to the second part of the story, where Mr. Kwok fooled around and caused the waffle to drop.
"Were you mad?"
"Just a bit. But I must control my temper."
Ah...the last bit just made me wanna buy him a dozen waffles.
Anyways, the waffle story made me wondered - what constitutes bullying? Many times I have heard parents saying that their kids are bullied. While there are genuine cases whereby one feels ostracized or threatened by bullies, there are just some cases of overtly concerned parents. Say for example, Gooly's waffle story. It did cross my mind that he may be bullied, but I gave it a better thought. First, he's as happy as a lark. Does well academically (wooh...been dying to say this! Should I cap and bold it?? :p). So what's the problem?
We both agreed - Gooly and I, that Ms. Lam's approach is uncouth. Well, there are many kids who can't verbalise their requests politely. My nephew, for one, says "I like to eat now." Mind you, it's not like as in "i would like to eat now." He is meaning, I like, gimme gimme gimme. now now now!
So, the lack of manners, resulting in snatching or asking as though demanding.. have all caused some parents to think they are bullies. And the natural approach would be teaching their own kid some self defense skills i.e say no to your friends, tell teacher if he takes your eraser again..etc.
I dunno - lah! I suppose because parents love their kids mucho..thus this fierce protection shield.
But I kinda like less hostile scenarios. Give kids the benefit of doubt. Pasang radar betul betul. Detect the real bullies, and not just label those who are rude or (fill in own adjectives) as $/&:;$*^#% bullies.
So Ms Lam, today my son gave you waffle, tomorrow you give him nasi lemak 2.0 lah*...
Shatu mereishia ma.. (simply hentam!)

Missed me?
Gooly had had an eventful day. Since it was after the school finals, he was allowed to have as much fun as he could. {Utter rubbish. He has had fun whilst taking his exams with very minimal revision} Hence, the moment he awoke till a little while ago, he was playing and playing, with this cousin, that cousin and another cousin.
Meanwhile, Lil Lolly was excited, refusing nap times even, because of all the commotion in the house. Naturally I was a bit tied down with her, and got really tired by evening.
In between play time, Gooly managed to make an appoinment with me - a Milo date to be precise. But as soon as Lolly hit the sack, I found myself dozing off. And soon, I heard sobbing.
It was Gooly. Scared the crap out of me. Thought he hurt himself or something.
"Nobody drank Milo with me *sob* and you are so tired *sob* I didnt want to disturb you *sob* but you promised *sob* good night mummy *sob* your milo *sob* my milo *sob sob* on table *sob*"
Such drama!
Actually I didnt {and don't} really understand what he was saying. I was in a daze still, having been just awaken from a syok slumber. In my head was littered with "What milo? Who milo? Whhaa??"
But I hugged him. He sobbed harder. He must have missed me after a whole day of fun fun fun sans me.
While it was fun playing, Momma is still the best company right before bedtime, eh?
I dragged my ass out into the kitchen, and saw a cuppa Milo (made by whom, I dunno). He had finished his. So he watched me drink mine. It was very odd that he kicked a fuss over a Milo date which almost didnt materialize.
Odd, but fuzzy warm too, just like the Milo I gulped down for his sake.
